Together, they are helping document the people, memories, photographs, and lived history that make this story worth carrying forward.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WORK

Lori Nuss, FounderI grew up in Yellowstone in a ranger family, surrounded by the stories, traditions, and everyday life of the park. THE REAL YELLOWSTONE™ grew from that lived connection and a desire to preserve the voices and memories of the people who shaped Yellowstone from the inside.I’m just one storyteller.
But I carry the echoes of many.

Braeden Meyer is a filmmaker whose work explores the relationship between people and the natural world. His observational style brings a thoughtful lens to stories shaped by place, memory, and lived experience.

Linda Howard brings decades of experience in public lands, interpretation, and storytelling. Her understanding of people, place, and memory helps shape the voices and stories at the heart of the work.

The work will continue to grow as more voices, collaborators, and Yellowstone stories become part of THE REAL YELLOWSTONE™. What connects everyone involved is a shared commitment to preserving this history with care—and carrying it forward while the stories are still here to be told.
